Here at Kilkenny Cooling Systems, our vision is to for our market-leading power optimising system to become the new industry standard in Irish beer cooling. With this in mind, and to build on our extensive product range, we are delighted to announce that we are bringing the award-winning VS design to a new product line aimed specifically at smaller draught beer outlets.
Conventional glycol and ice bank coolers run at full power 24/7 to maintain python temperature. The VS works differently – it reduces power consumption to ‘idle’ during closed and off peak times meaning that the cooler never uses any more electricity than it has to.
The VS power optimisation system has been independently proven to save up to €600 per year in running costs in a study undertaken by the Nimbus Centre at Cork Institute of Technology.
Many smaller outlets such as restaurants or particularly country pubs are only busy for one or two nights a week, and even then it’s often just busy for a few hours. These are the types of venues which benefit most from the energy saving design of the VS beer cooler..
A standard Kilkenny VS would of course save the outlet significant running costs, however if the place only has a small number of taps, it might not warrant the additional investment.
Enter the Kilkenny Junior VS.
This is a cooler which is aimed at the smaller pub, club and restaurant – especially those who are currently using plug-in coolers or have extended quiet periods in their trade.
