Two Ice Builders for the UK

Two Ice Builders for the UK left our factory today. This was our last shipment of 2022.

The ice builders were models IB-1250 and IB-1080 which are two of our most popular models. The IB 1250 can store up to 2400kg of ice, whicle the IB 1080 is slighly smaller, with an ice storage capacity of 2050kg.

These two machines are headed for dairy farms in the South of England, where they will be used to ‘store cooling’ in the form of ice. This ice is then used to instantly cool the milk as it is pumped from the milking machine to the bulk milk storage tank.

Ice builders are an increasingly popular choice for all kinds of cooling application, but especially dairy farms, where they can be paired with renewable power sources to ‘build cooling reserves’ when power is plentiful – just as a battery stores electricity.

Kilkenny Cooling Systems has been exporting ice builders worldwide for years, with a significant number of the machines now installed in the United Kingdom and in New Zealand – both countries with a similar dairy industry to Ireland.
