Kinnegar Brewing is a craft brewery which is located in the picturesque town of Rathmullan in the North of Donegal on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The brewery was founded by Rick LeVert and Libby Carton and they specialise in producing high quality, small-batch, farmhouse beers, ranging from Pale Ale to Rye Ale, Amber Ale and Porter, along with seasonal specials. Kinnegar also offer guided brewery tours, and the couple also run regular beer workshops in their ‘Beer Academy’ events at the nearby four star Rathmullan House hotel, a much-loved seaside retreat on the shores of Lough Swilly, where the Kinnegar taproom is located.
At the heart of the Kinnegar brewery is the multi-zone digital temperature control system, by Kilkenny Cooling Systems. This installation enables head brewer Rick to control the temperature in each of his vessels at the touch of a button.
Using just one cooling system, temperatures in the different zones of the brewery such as the fermenters and the bright beer storage tanks can be set and monitored from one centralised cooling system control panel – designed specifically for the brewery, and installed by Mayo based refrigeration contractor Westcool Refrigeration.
Kilkenny Cooling Systems has designed ice bank and glycol cooling systems, multi-zone temperature control systems and supplied insulated food-safe paneling and stainless steel storage vessels to many micro breweries, brew pubs and distilleries nationwide.
We are always available to discuss the requirements of food producers who get in touch by phone, email or call in to see us in our 35,000 sqft factory in Kilkenny.
We spec equipment specifically to suit the requirements of the brewer. We typically work with a brewery’s local refrigeration contractor in order to ensure that there is always excellent local support there if needs be.
