Marine Grade Refrigeration for Equine Hydrotherapy
Another rather interesting project which we were delighted to be involved with, consisting of a Specialist Custom Marine Grade Refrigeration System which we designed and built specially for an international customer.
The customer manufactures a treadmill for the equine industry. The horse is introduced to the treadmill and walks upon it, while it is submerged in a bath of chilled saline water, which promotes fitness and injury recovery in the horses. The products are manufactured in Ireland but are used worldwide.
A major aspect of this is the chiller system, which consists of a reservoir of chilled brine (salt water). This is pumped to and from the treadmill enclosure for the horses.
Here in Kilkenny Cooling Systems we were tasked with the design and manufacture of a suitable marine grade (316 stainless steel) evaporator coil for cooling the reservoir of brine.
