Kilkenny Cooling Systems was recently approached to design and develop a highly specialised custom-designed oil cooling system to chill lubricating oil in extremely high demand applications.
This customer required cool oil as part of their own process and had previously been using coolers which were not meeting with their requirements.
The list of requirements for the cooler design proved extremely demanding, with difficult operating conditions, high ambient temperatures and a stable temperature output required despite varying operating conditions.
Kilkenny Cooling Systems also developed a technique (based on our beer chiller coil cassette design) for quickly changing the thermal interface (i.e. the heat exchanger), should it become contaminated by residue from the oil.
Further details on this project have been witheld for commercial reasons, however this oil cooling system has proven itself and indeed is further proof of our ability and commitment here at Kilkenny Cooling Systems to engineer a cooling solution for every task.
